Google reviews and feedback from every guest
After a guest's order is done, Thaalo asks them to rate it from 1 to 5, with an optional comment. Every guest who rates is then offered the link to review you on Google, whatever score they gave. Low ratings and comments also reach you privately in Insights, and each rating shows on the guest's card.
After the order
When the order is done, the guest's order page on their phone asks how it was: Poor, Not great, Okay, Good or Loved it, with room for a comment. One rating per order, no app and no account.
Every guest gets the Google link
Whatever the guest rated, the next thing they see is a button to review you on Google, once your restaurant's Google listing is set up in Thaalo. Thaalo does not show the link only to happy guests.
That is on purpose. Google's policy for Maps reviews does not allow businesses to selectively ask happy customers for reviews, and reviews gathered that way can be removed. Asking everyone keeps your reviews real and keeps them up.
Low ratings reach you privately
Ratings of 2 or below, with the guest's comment, show in your Insights, next to your average rating. You hear about a cold dal the same day, from the guest who had it, before it turns into a pattern.
Ratings on the customer card
Each guest's card in your customer list shows the rating they gave on their recent orders, so you know who loved it and who had a bad night.
Questions owners ask
Can Thaalo show the Google link only to guests who rated 4 or 5?
No, and we would not recommend it. Google's policy does not allow selectively asking for positive reviews, and reviews collected that way can be taken down.
Can I reply to Google reviews from Thaalo?
No. Replies to Google reviews are made from your Google Business Profile. Thaalo asks for the review and shows you your guests' own ratings.
Does the guest need an account to rate?
Not to rate in Thaalo. To post on Google, the guest uses their own Google account, as with any Google review.
