How the calculation works
Daily commission = orders per day × average order value × commission rate. Monthly is that times 30. The calculator leaves out GST on the commission, payment-gateway charges and paid listings, so the real figure is usually higher.
Commission is not wasted money when it brings customers you would never have found. It is expensive on the customers who already know you and would order direct if you gave them a link. Moving even a quarter of your regulars to your own ordering page changes the monthly number a lot.
Questions owners ask
What commission do food delivery apps charge restaurants in India?
It depends on the restaurant, the city and the contract, and is usually quoted as a percentage of each order. Check your own payout statement for your effective rate, then enter it in the calculator.
Does this calculator include GST on the commission?
No. It shows commission only. GST on the commission, payment-gateway fees and advertising are extra, so your real cost is higher than the figure shown.
What does Thaalo charge per order?
